Since arriving in Melbourne from the UK, Obsessive Behaviour has been leaving a lasting impression on the Melbourne Techno scene. As a major driving force behind ‘The Brink’ and ‘Bellbird Crescent’ he loves all things Techno and his unique style of Driving & Progressive, Electro and Techno is sure to capture the imagination of every true Techno fan!
He takes influence from nearly two decades in the music scene, and once you know who some of his most influential artists are, you can really see how his flavour comes together.
The foundations were laid for his high energy sound way back in ‘99 immersing himself in the creations of UK artists such as D.A.V.E the Drummer, the Liberators and The Geezer on labels such as Smitten, Bionic Orange and Hydraulix.
Fast forward to 2009 and he starts to garnish the music with funkier elements from the The NuSkool Breaks scene through the likes of Plum DJ’s, Stanton Warriors, Freeland, Freestylers, The Autobots and many more.
Modern Techno influences in the shape of Alex Stein, Victor Ruiz, Boris Brejcha, Andre Winter, Hatzler Julian Jeweil, Groove Delight, Jay Lumen, Tim Taste, Maksim Dark, Rezza Gorolo plus many more keep the record bag gaining momentum and a healthy dose of eclectic dance acts such as The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Shpongle, EdSolo & Skool of Thought plus a random selection of Hip Hop and his style is complete.
